Terms — Search Fragments

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Search Fragments is a free, non-commercial, early-stage prototype run from the UK. It helps AI assistants identify things people only half-remember, and check short factual claims. It works through an MCP server at https://searchfragments.com/api/mcp and a demo on this website. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

What you get

The service is provided as-is, for free, with no guarantee of uptime, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Answers cite public sources where we can, but they can still be wrong or incomplete. Always check the cited source before you rely on an answer.

Fair use

We apply fair-use limits to keep the service usable. Heavy automated traffic, attempts to break or overload the service, or use that harms other users can be slowed or blocked.

What you must not do

Don't use the service for unlawful purposes, to harass anyone, or to try to extract personal data about other people. Don't put secrets, passwords or sensitive personal details into queries or feedback. Don't scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the service beyond normal use through an AI app or this website.

Your content

When you (or an AI app acting for you) send a query, claim or feedback, you give us permission to process that text so we can run the service, as described in our privacy page: https://searchfragments.com/privacy. You keep any rights you already have in that text. Don't send content you have no right to send.

AI apps

If you use Search Fragments through an AI app (such as Claude or ChatGPT), that app's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your conversation with it. We only see what the app sends to our tools.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law of England and Wales allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the service or reliance on its answers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

This is a prototype, so these terms may change. We'll update the date at the top when they do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
